Ntsamai Ramakhothatsa Moshimane (b. 1993, Diepkloof, Soweto, South Africa) is a lens-based artist and graphic designer currently based in Johannesburg. His practice explores selfhood, belonging, identity, and the interplay between physical and spiritual spaces. Employing experimental camera techniques and digital post production, Moshimane pushes the boundaries of visual storytelling, creating work that challenges perceptions and invites reflection.
Moshimane has participated in numerous group exhibitions, including the Nguni Tribe online exhibition (2023), JIGSAW by the Peanut Noir collective at Through The Lens Collective (2020), the public project “Silent Existence” at Fordsburg Market Square, and the alumni exhibition “Disruptions” at the Market Photo Workshop gallery (2016). His work has also been featured in Brainstorm Magazine, highlighting his evolving influence in the South African visual arts landscape.
Beyond the gallery space, Moshimane applies his creative expertise to film and television production, designing and dressing sets for networks such as SABC, MojaLove, and Showmax. This multidisciplinary engagement enhances his lens-based practice, allowing him to merge fine art sensibilities with cinematic storytelling.
