TIVANI MABULELE

Tivani Ernest Mabulele (b. 1993, Elim, Limpopo, South Africa) is a visual artist working primarily in acrylic painting and charcoal, exploring themes of transformation, resilience, and human potential. His current body of work, “Becoming,” reflects our inherent ability to awaken and evolve, both individually and collectively, as we seek fulfillment and flourishing in the world.

Mabulele draws inspiration from his daily encounters within his community, observing the challenges people face and the positive outcomes that can emerge from difficult situations. His work reflects multiple perspectives on contemporary social and cultural issues, often using butterflies as a symbol of rebirth, growth, and overcoming obstacles.

Over the years, Mabulele has been nominated for numerous competitions, participated in group exhibitions, and contributed to art auctions. He is currently based at August House Studios in Johannesburg, where he continues to develop his practice and explore the transformative power of visual storytelling.
