Contra Joburg Festival 2026 is a celebration of art, culture and performance that brings Johannesburg’s Inner City to life through creativity.

Taking place on 29–30 August 2026 from 10:00–17:00, Contra Joburg will bring together 180 artists across 16 festival locations, offering audiences a diverse programme of performances, exhibitions, music, dance and immersive creative experiences.
