15 Hulbert Road, New Centre
Breath of Belonging brings together a group of artists whose works reflect on the preservation of nature and humanity’s inseparable relationship with the environment. Through visual artworks, sculptures, mixed media, and sensory experiences, the exhibition creates a space for reflection on the role nature plays in sustaining human existence and the urgent need to protect it.
For centuries, nature has provided humanity with the essentials of life: clean air, water, food, shelter, and healing. Yet in contemporary society, people have become increasingly disconnected from the natural world. Human activity continues to pollute the air we breathe, contaminate the water we depend on, and destroy landscapes in the pursuit of development and artificial progress. This exhibition asks viewers to reconsider the belief that humanity stands above nature, reminding us instead that we exist within it.
Rather than presenting nature as a distant landscape to be admired, we position it as a living presence that surrounds and sustains us daily. The exhibition encourages audiences to reflect on their responsibility toward the environment and to recognize that preserving nature is ultimately an act of preserving human life itself. By bringing together diverse artistic voices, the exhibition creates a collective conversation about care, coexistence, and the urgent need to rebuild our relationship with the natural world.
