Recollecting Memories

Before we knew what art was, we were already creating.

We drew. We dressed up. We collected things. We found music we loved. We discovered fashion, street culture, colour and the little things that would eventually become part of who we are.

Recollection: Memories looks at memory as a creative archive exploring how the things we saw, heard, loved and experienced growing up continue to shape the way we create today.

A return to the things that made us, so we can see what we’ve made from them.

A group exhibition curated by Abongile Matintela and Kenako Madalitso
